A sheep without a shepherd

Days gone on.

Faces go by.

Whir, whir, whir.

I feel lost.

Lost just like those throngs who followed You around.

Throngs that You had Mercy for.

Throngs that You had pity for.

You knew that You were the answer.

They didn’t.

They knew that You were something

for the void they felt, ached deep inside of them.

Have compassion on me.

I am helpless.

My life is missing something.

I read about You.

I hear the Good News.

Days gone on.

Faces go by.

Whir, whir, whir.

I feel lost.

Perhaps that is You I see in the crowd.

Confusion sets in.

O eternal Lord, I am a sheep without a shepherd.

Be my shepherd.

Lead me to the way and the life

I was meant to live.
