Did we really think that all this compulsive over eating and binging was due to weight and food.
This is far more than just about how much I weight, or how much I eat. That is just the physical symptom to the underlying problem.
So, yes, it is time to get real, really real!
Forget the scale, stick to three meals and a snack – abstinence.
If I don’t deal with the issues at the root, I will continue to relapse in my recovery.
Body image, shoot…what about a torn heart, broken promises, unrequited and conditional love.
Until then, until I embrace this recognition, my 27th day of abstinence will not last a lifetime.
